Primary Responsibilities:
>>Coordinate the menu from Evangelism Committee and Friendship Club. Review menu. Note if any food not available, seasonal costs prohibited, etc. make changes with Committee approval.
>>Prepare list of products needed for function, based on count, which should be confirmed with Director of Operations.
>> Arrive at function early to facilitate meal being ready in timely manner. Notify volunteers of their expected duties for the event.
>>Prepare and cook the evening meal for Church Life Dinner. A committee is assigned each month to help serve and clean up. As cook, you designate what is required to be cleaned up, take out trash, replace trash bags, wash pots and pans, and put away extra food in freezer for future use at church functions or for homeless shelter dinners. Also, clean coffee pots, machines, use dishwasher for water pitchers and dishes, dry these and put away. Wipe down, and unplug steam tables.
>>Prepare and cook for other functions throughout the year. Examples of these include: preparation of monthly meals for distribution at the Coalition Center; Graduation Sunday; Officer's Banquets; Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.
>>Maintain kitchen equipment, ensure proper usage, cleaning and storage; Monitor refrigerator and freezer to ensure proper temperatures are maintained and food is labeled and marked clearly.
>>Lock up and secure kitchen area upon leaving the facility.
